Dia gemar berkunjung ke mari.

Apapun makna romansa, pastilah cantik
bila berdandan secukupnya. Tanpa berlebih. Tidak menor, atau terlalu merah.
Darinya, aku bisa belajar bagaimana
memaknai waktu jumpa lewat frasa: "It’s
not about who you spend the most time with. It’s about who you have the best
memories with.” dan “The past is
over, learn from it.The future is coming, prepare for it.The present is here, enjoy
it.“
Pada lain lamannya, dia mengukir
perihal: “If someone hurts you, just keep
your head up high and prove to them that you don’t need them to be happy.“
Aku pun terenyak diam. Memikirkan ‘pesakitan’
yang lewat. Tenanglah, senangku tak bergantung padamu.
Di akhir, dia bertutur bahwa: ”Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a
mystery, but today is a gift, that’s why its called the present.“
Dan aku masih mengingat larik
pamungkasmu: ”Start everyday with a new
hope, leave bad memories behind, and have faith for a better tomorrow.“
